We had nights where sleep wasn't important. All we cared about was being next to one another. We were young then, barely able to grasp at the concept of love. We shared our first kiss under a willow tree as the burning sun lowered calmly beneath the meadow. Many days of bike rides and tangled fingers led to a promise on bended knee, where I asked her to be mine forever. Yes. I never knew how happy someone could be over a simple answer. I followed Hayden around for a really long time. He showed me how to do things around the farm, and we ended up laid back on a really large stack of hay.
